We have lift-off! After only 16 month, Addison finally decided to stand up on her own, not holding on to anything. Now the real fun begins, 2 toddlers!

We had Jarrid's sisters wedding this weekend, and of course I didn't take a camera. Turns out it wouldn't have been too helpful anyway, since Emma had an allergic reaction to something and had to go to the ER with hives. So much for 2 flower girls. So here are a couple of pictures of Addison, one with her Uncle Carl. The other is of my nephew Jackie with Jarrid. Jackie was hamming it up and insisted on pictures with everyone (except me...hmm). I was pretty proud of the dresses. School is finally over, so maybe I can take more pictures of the girls and get them put up. Maybe not.

It's been a while since I posted, so lots of pictures this time! First things first, a picture of them in their A&M suits. Can't bypass that photo opp!

Today I took them to the one place that I swore I would NEVER take them to...the McDonald's playground. My friend invited me, and I've never actually heard of any children dying from the germs picked up from there, so what the heck. I looked really dumb with the camera, but I don't really care.

Finally, I couldn't pass up playing in the yard. It was a great day here. Crisply cool, and lots of leave conveniently dumped in my front yard to sort through (although this picture makes it look like all I have is acres of sand...this is actually the driveway).

The girls ended up being a bee and a flower (I know you were holding your breath in anticipation of what they might be). We went on a trick-or-treating hay ride, but the pictures didn't really turn out. We trick or treated on campus, and this is them with my mom (dressed as a country hobo).

This blog is mostly for Jarrid and Carl. Emma found Jarrid's Cardinals hat, and put it on herself, then rolled on the floor with it. She knows who came out on top this year! The other picture is of the girls on Jarrids Mustang.

here's some of the pics my sister took. what a difference a good camera makes!

We went to the pumpkin patch today to take Halloween pictures, and I'm glad we did!! The girls costumes don't fit! Neither one could extend their arms or legs, so they couldn't even hold themselves in a sitting position. My sister took some other pictures, and if there are some good ones, I'll post them later. Meanwhile, I have two 9-12 month costumes, should anyone need one. Also, I am looking for creative costume ideas for twins!

Addison finally figured out the walker!

Just to prove I do wash my kids...

Wow! Have I been busy!!! First, Emma and Addison's cousin, Chloe, came and spent a week with us. Then Jarrid turned thirty. Emma started walking, and Addison can't seem to eat enough food (maybe she'll grow a little). I'm posting some updated pictures. Never mind that my house is a wreck and the kids look like I don't wash their clothes. We're just in survival mode right now. School has got me more than a little overwhelmed this semester. I'm not sure I'm cut out for an education, but it's too late to quit now. With any luck I'll have a degree by the time the girls are 5 (I'm finally a senior for anyone that didn't know. . . it only took 10 years). I guess that's all I really have to say for now. My world is consumed with feeding, changing diapers, and doing calculus homework. Kind of boring.

I was looking through some of the girls older pictures.
I can't believe how much they've changed! These are some of my favorites.

My friend Kerri has a new website for her jewelry company, Olive Juice. I'm putting a link into it on the right. She does some really creative things, so you ought to check it out!

We celebrated the girls first birthday today, with great success. I don't think they'll have to wear the same outfit twice! I didn't realize it at the time, but they each ate an entire cupcake. . . and could not go to sleep all afternoon! I'm too exhausted to say much about it right now, but here are a couple of my favorite pics.

My friend Lori came over during feeding time, and told me I had to take a picture. She assured me that not everyone puts their babies on the floor with bottles, and found it funny. I just call it time management. Anyway, in other breaking news, after only 11.5 months, Addison finally started crawling!

Thursday, July 20, 2006

Wow! Time has flown. The girls are 11 months old today, and I still can't believe this last year! This month we started eating "chew" foods. Yay!! I was so tired of blending things. You can see in the breakfast picture how much they like getting to eat big-kid food, and what happens when they run out! I also included a picture of Bible class. They have the songs down, and get really excited about them. Addison still isn't crawling yet, but just this week has started inch-worming. . . she'll get up on her knees and belly flop forward. She's pretty efficient with this method. It's amazing how fast they're changing!

We spend all of this money on toys and videos, and what do they obsess over? The curtains.

The First Pig-tail!

Addison may not have been the first to roll over, crawl, or get a tooth, but she gets the first pigtail! (I'll try to make it cuter before we go out into public. . . no promises)

We moved!

Well, we finally are in our new house! The girls are loving crawling/sliding on the new floors, and all the yummy new bugs to eat are so tempting! Addison has taken this opportunity to at least try crawling, although she only goes in reverse for now. Emma is cruising along on all the furniture. . . I'm so tired!! You can just barely make out the bruises on Addison's nose. I dropped her face-first onto the wood floor! I don't know who cried harder, me or her.

We took the girls to the beach last Thursday. They had a great time while they were in the water. I didn't factor in that we're in the stage were they put everything in their mouth! Apparently Galveston dirt tastes good. We'll definitely go again, but probably not until next year!

We're Rollin' Now!

Addison FINALLY started rolling over!! I walked in a couple of times and found her like this. Now she can roll over from back to front with proficiency. About time!

Tuesday, May 30, 2006

Emma started crawling with real knee steps yesterday! Yeah! And oh no! She already found the outlet, a hanger, and how to get into the kitchen (and also what the word NO! means). I know Addison is behind, but right now I'm glad. I only have to legs, two hands and two eyes. Two crawling babies right now is too much to imagine!

The Park!

I'm home now, and going stir crazy, so Aunt Marci and I took the girls to the state park. It was really great, with a breeze off of the lake. As you can see, the girls really enjoyed swinging and sliding (I had to throw those pictures in there, just to torment Marci). Addison is paying for her day, though, with a horrific allergy attack. Poor thing got my sneezy nose!
