The girls have been climbing out of their beds for about a month now. This is how I found them when I checked on them before bed tonight.

We went to the beach today, for the first time this year. The girls loved it! I put it off because the last time we went, all they did was eat sand. I dressed them in sundresses hoping to get some before pics...well, after the ride on the causeway onto the island, Emma puked all over everything.
Turns out to be for the best, 'cause as soon as we hit the beach they ran straight for the water! Usually they're scared, Emma especially, of water, but they dove right in (literally) and laughed for at least 1 hour straight!
We finally got them to leave, and they both crashed in the car. After about an hour of driving around they woke up, and we went to the Rainforest Pyramid. Addison loved it, wanted to jump in with the pirannahs. Emma hated every minute of it. I don't know when she's ever even seen a snake or a frog to learn to be scared of them, but she was hanging on to me for dear life.
After the Rainforest, we let them play for a few minutes on the jungle gym. You can see how that went (that's Addison going down on her face). We left and went and had dinner.

It's been so long since I've blogged, I almost forgot how to sign on! We went to Sea World over Spring Break in San Antonio. It was our first real vacation as a family, and it went pretty well. The girls had fun, we had fun, and everyone was exhausted. The first picture is from when we first got to the park. They were feeding the dolphins at the time, and we squeezed up next to some guy with fish. The dolphins kept popping up right in front of us, which kept the girls in awe. Something I didn't find out until later is that these particular dolphins are not fully trained yet. No wonder they kept telling us not to let the kids put their hands in the water.
Moving on, I wanted to get the girls some cute little swim suits to wear, but Jarrid was too worried about their thighs showing (hello, they're a year old!). So I ended up getting these "surfer" suits that cover everything. I actually kind of like them because the fabric has an SPF of 50, and they're 2 pieces, which gives easy diaper access. The last picture is of Addison trying to feed the ducks. The other picture was at the park picnic of the girls eating their first (and last for a while) popsicle. Those things are a mess!
